Alpha Kappa Psi firmly believes in giving back to the community. Sharing our time and talent with society and with our fraternity is a priority. Alpha Kappa Psi brothers actively provide service to the community through volunteer events and monetary support. We seek to improve the welfare of the communities in which we do business, improve lives, and develop goodwill. Our chapter specifically holds the following philanthropy events:
Adopt-a-Class: Winton Hills Academy
Winton Hills Academy is a school in inner city Cincinnati AKPsi has a special relationship with. We are pen pals with the students, have regular visits throughout the semester, throw pizza parties for the kids, donate school supplies, and hope to be an inspiration for these students who might not otherwise get the attention at home.
Dare to Dodge
This is our annual philanthropy event to raise funds for Winton Hills Academy. Students of all majors at Miami University can form teams to compete for prizes, while helping make a difference.
Relay for Life
Brothers participate in Relay For Life by fundraising during the Sprint Semester, and participating in the overnight event to support the American Cancer Society.
